This CD is by the individualist group ELAN and includes a song about an encounter with a dolphin.
The group's music can be described (as it has been by a local critic) as "Rush, where they should have gone after Moving Pictures" -- basically, no keyboard, a lot of guitar/bass interplay -- creative time changes -- precise and virtuous execution -- a multi-octave voice -- a little "heavier" than later Rush -- the guitar playing has been compared to Steve Howe, of "Yes" by several listeners independently -- the kind of thing that one needs to listen to at least 100 times before everything is heard -- Fundamentally happy, positive music, with high energy, interesting textures, and just a pinch of rock-n-roll anger and frustration, from an individualist perspective.

FIRESTORM(c) 1991 Michael McCormick
Inflame the mist Embrace the conflagration Beads of burning moisture celebrate the dawn Blinded by the clearing sky The clarion burst of sunlight resonating without end Insistent wind fans and feeds the flame Swirling shrieking eddies race to the sky Figure in the raging tempest Flesh of iron from the forge Brazen gaze of firelight When the heat subsides and the hero is cast deep within the cooling form remains a burning core everyday reborn
