But is it worth it?Starship’s road to launch has been one of soaring highs and dramatic explosions tempered by grinding regulatory procedures.

Elon Musk has announced that SpaceX’s Starship will make its first flight into orbit in July of this year. And this means the wait is nearly over.

Kennedy Space Center’s newest attraction officially opened on June 15th – Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex is the “spaceport of the future”, where you can experience the “interstellar travel of tomorrow”.

The new complex features a showcase of NASA and their commercial partners’ spacecraft hardware including flight-flown artifacts, immersive, interactive displays and games, and a headlining attraction offering four different simulated journeys through space.

Until now, the ability to travel faster than the speed of light has only been seen in Sci-Fi movies. What if we can actually make that a reality!

The Vulcan will replace the Atlas V — ending an unexpected geopolitical volleyball.

The Vulcan rocket will launch in late 2022 on a flight to the Moon. The Vulcan replaces the United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V and its problematic RD-180 engines.

NASA really doesn’t want SpaceX’s Starship to blow up on the launch pad at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Reuters reports — a potential disaster so severe it could cut off the United States from accessing the International Space Station.

The facilities in question, Launch Complex 39A, served as NASA’s “Moonport” to deliver astronauts to the lunar surface during the Apollo program. Now, it’s the only launch pad capable of sending astronauts to the ISS — on board SpaceX’s much smaller Crew Dragon spacecraft — from US soil.

Now, SpaceX wants to pick up where NASA left off in the 1970s and return astronauts to the Moon in the upcoming years with its nearly 400-feet-tall Starship and Super Heavy booster stack. But the risk catastrophe, it terms out, is palpable.
