Big Breakthroughs: After Landing Taikonauts On ‘Space Station’, China Tests World’s ‘Largest Solid-Fuel Rocket Engine’

Last week, China launched what was seen as its most ambitious manned space mission. Shortly after this, the communist country has announced another breakthrough in its rocket engine technology.

On October 16 China launched a spacecraft with three astronauts (taikonauts) on board, including a woman, into the core module of what is believed to be China’s own future space station in the Earth’s orbit. The astronauts are expected to stay in space for six months, which is the longest duration for a Chinese manned space mission so far.

SpaceX, NASA target Halloween launch for Crew-3 astronaut flight to space station

Four astronauts are getting ready to launch from Florida.


NASA’s next space station launch is set for Halloween and will put four more astronauts into space on a SpaceX rocket.

The Crew-3 launch is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 31 at 2:21 a.m. EDT (0721 GMT), using a Falcon 9 rocket. The launch will take place at Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. NASA Television and SpaceX broadcast details will be released at a later date.

Morgan Stanley: SpaceX could make Elon Musk world’s first trillionaire

Investing bank Morgan Stanley believes that Elon Musk will become the world’s first modern trillionaire. Due to a wild bull market in Tesla shares over the last two years, the eccentric billionaire’s net worth has skyrocketed to unprecedented heights. Since the beginning of the year 2,020 the price of Tesla stock has risen by more than tenfold.

According to a Morgan Stanley report, the CEO of Tesla will become a trillionaire as a result of the success of his second business, SpaceX.

The private space-exploration company set up by Musk “is challenging any preconceived notion of what was possible and the time frame possible, in terms of rockets, launch vehicles and supporting infrastructure,” wrote Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas in a note titled, ‘SpaceX Escape Velocity … Who Can Catch Them?’
