Elon Musk replied to several tweets from users about Twitter’s character limit. A separate user suggested a 420-character cap, which Musk approved of.
Elon Musk’s role in Tesla’s early history has been a point of contention. Eberhard has sued Musk, alleging libel because Musk says he’s a founder.
Since then, the tech mogul and Tesla CEO has let further staff go, some through layoffs aimed at downsizing the company and others through more targeted firings.
But after scrambling to get rid of staff, Twitter is still now actually hiring, Musk said in a presentation to the company, slides from which he posted on Twitter.
“We’re recruiting,” the slide simply read.
Within a 12 to 18 months time frame.
Twitter owner Elon Musk took to the social media platform on Sunday to share some very ambitious plans. “I think I see a path to Twitter exceeding a billion monthly users in 12 to 18 months,” he said.

Although there is no reason to question the outcome, it would be interesting to learn more about speed and energy usage. We are pretty interested in seeing some impartial vehicle tests.

The tech billionaire, “chief Twit,” posted images of the company’s progress chart late on Saturday.
Musk said user active minutes were at a record high, averaging nearly eight billion active minutes per day in the last seven days as of November 15, an increase of 30% in comparison to the same week last year.
The business mogul’s opening up to more ‘free speech’ on Twitter may have ruffled some feathers.
Elon Musk might have just hinted at making Tesla phones (Tesla Pi) a reality if Apple and Google were to “boot” Twitter from their app stores.
“If Apple & Google boot Twitter from their app stores, @elonmusk should produce his own smartphone,” Liz Wheeler, a video podcaster, said in a Twitter thread on Friday.
